Hello sir ,
My aunt has fixed deposit in united bank of india(now merged to pnb) at her father address. Her adhaar card address and her last name has changed after marriage. When she went into bank with original documents for withdrawing her money bank is asking her to execute affidavit about her last name change by magistrate. She went to magistrate , he denied to sign the affidavit asking written later by bank for requirement of affidavit. Then she return to bank ask manager to provide written later for affidavit need but here also manager denied to provide written later saying we do not give written later .Now please tell me what should I do in this case as both entity magistrate and manager not doing their duty.If I am not wrong it is duty of magistrate to execute and sign affidavit if any one from public demand.
Thank you

A.Dear Sir,
You may approach notary public and get affidavit notarised and submit to the Bank under acknowledgment if not agreed then approach Banking Ombudsman.
