purchase of agriculture land under dispute

I have purchased agriculture land from say "A". After registering the land in my name I acme to know that the land is under dispute and the civil court has passed a order restricting "A" from selling the land till the case is settled. this was not brought to my notice at the time of registration. I came to know this only when I recieved summons from the court. As per the sale deed The seller has to settle the dispute , but he is not showing any interest in settling the dispute . How can I proceed.

The agreement/contract and the sale of the land is invalid as it was barred by the law/court hence the seller should return your money as soon as possible. If he does not do that then you can file a case in the court for recovering the amount paid to him. Send him a legal notice before filing a case.
