18 year old sister mentally harassing everyone in the family 18 year old sister mentally harassing everyone in the family

My 18 year old sister is an extremely toxic person and has been aggressive for last couple of years, specially during lockdown. She had been making unreasonable demands which my parents can not afford and even when they arrange something she abuses and harasses them. Due to her the whole environment of my house has turned toxic. I'm asking my parents to stand up against her and take some actions but they don't want to do it due to the classic reasons of reputation in society and love towards their child. I am disturbed seeing the plight of my parents. Please suggest something.

A.Dear Client
For these kinds of familial issues there are no codified direct laws which can guide you on what to do. Such situations are handled either by talking and discussing with the person or to take that person for a counselling.

A.Dear client,
Section 6 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 provides for the procedure for claiming maintenance. An application under Section 5 can be filed against any children or relative in any district where he/she resides or last resided.
Thank You.
