False Complaint By Wife and Her Family

My wife left home seven months ago. After that there were several talks happened thru family members and mediators to resolve the issues. Now suddenly my wife's parents and relatives went to my grandfather's house and made a false statement that I'm not fit for marriage and their daughter wants divorce and demanded some amount of cash to settle. Otherwise they will file a case against all the family members. Not only my grandfather, today they met few of relatives and made these false allegations and demanded money or else they will file a case against all the family members.
We are married for two years two months, now suddenly making these false allegations. We are consulting doctor for about one year before she left home. She had an issue to conceive and we were taking medicine for that.
Now what should I do? Should I file a case before they file the wrong case? If so, what kind of case should I put?

Immediately you should file a general diary in your local police station to avoid any kind of issue later on when they file a false case. Secondly if you have decided to break the marital bond then file a case for divorce in your location to avoid logistics issues if she files it in her place.
