A.Dear Client,
To Constitute an offense under Section 506 IPC these following conditions should be met:
1. Accused threatened a man with some injury to his person, reputation, or property.
2. The accused did so with an intent to cause alarm to that person.
3. To cause that person to do any act which he was not legally bound to do.
In a case under Section 506 IPC, a person can get imprisonment up to a period of 7 years, or fine, or both and this is a bailable offense.
Thank you

A.Dear Client,
Criminal Intimidation under section 503 IPC is dependent on, whom it was intended, whether the alarm was caused, what are the actual words employed.

In your case, the threat was intended to your friend's parents (you threatened to hurt them), it was sufficient to cause an alarm in your friend's mind. Further it seems that you threatened him/her with an intent to forbid him from doing an act which he was legally entitled to do. On the face of it, it appears to be a case of criminal intimidation.

As per Section 506, the offence shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both. If the threat was to cause death or grievous hurt, it shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with both.

Yes, since it is a bailable offence, you can get bail.

Thank you
