Dear Sir,
I would like to inform you that outside my house I have constructed stairs to get down from my house and they are not obstructing the road in any way. But my neighbour have objection for the same and is under litigation. I would like to know that is it possible that I can purchase that piece of land and solve this issue. If yes, Do I need an approval from court of law before purchasing that piece of land. Which all authorities I need to contact for the same eg. Nagar Nigam etc ?

A.Dear client,
Since the land does not legally belong to you, you are in the wrong to have built stairs there without taking permission first. If it is public land, i.e., government land, then you may be forced to remove the stairs from there as you cannot purchase that land. If the land belongs to someone else then you can ask to purchase it, they may refuse or even initiate legal action against you for building the stairs so keep that in mind.

A.Dear Client
First of all you need to figure out that who is owner of that land and then approach the owner requesting for sale. In case the land belongs to the government then you can forget about buying the land as the government will not be selling you the piece of land.

A.As the matter is pending before the Court of Law, so before such purchase, through application you have to pray for permission from the concerned Court for leave to purchase the suit premises and the copy of such application is required to be served upon the plaintiff and other parties of that Suit. After such purchase, you have to submit that registered Purchase Deed before the Court praying for dismissal of that Suit taking into consideration that you have become the owner of suit premises and therefore now the staircases are on your own property .
