If you have availed credit card from them if there are outstanding then you are required to pay them as credit card is nothing but a loan from the bank. Any loan taken has to be returned to the bank. Yes they need to follow certain process to recover the money and can't harass you. If they are harassing then you can file a complaint with the local police.
