When buying gifted property (which is registered),buyer should get signed from the donor also?.
The younger sister (self acquired property) gifted property to elder sister.
The property is registered with sub registrar, now when we buy this property should we get sign/consent from the younger sister as well?

A.Dear Client,

Both the donor and the donee must sign all pages of the gift deed, which must be witnessed by at least two people. To be valid, the donee must accept the gift during the donor's lifetime and while the donor is of sound mind.

Thank you

A.Dear Client
If the property has been gifted legally and also the gift deed is registered then there is no need for getting the signature of the donor. Once the property has been gifted and registration done then the donor's right in the property gets extinguished and he/she does not have any say in that during the life time of the donee.
