Copyright problem for mobile game Copyright problem for mobile game

I am a solo game developer working on my game which isn't released yet. Just a few days back I got to know that there is a very famous character from another franchise which looks similar to my character, Though I didn't mean to copy any other pre-existing character. My question is will I run into copyright related problems during Production of my game? There are also many noticeable difference... I can also share my character's photo and the other similar looking character, but I can't find the option to do so.

A.Dear Sir,
You must be very careful and avoid similar characters but such questions arise only when you go on public domain.

I am very serious with this game and I don't want to take any chances... I remade my character from start but still I don't feel satisfied. Could you kindly have a look at it and tell if I would run into problems because I later on I would release this game publicly. Thanks for your reply though.
