Recovery harassment for a mutual friend's debt
2 years ago
I have been getting mentally harassing calls for one of my colleagues payment default and not only that they have access to my contact list and are calling my friends now asking for money from them and harrassing them. Firstly I don't understand how do they have access to my data, this is invasion of privacy and my friends don't even know my colleague so why harass them. Please help and advice. They are publicly humiliating by taking my name to vasool money when it's not even my debt and I have no connection to that debt whatsoever. I am shocked how do they have all my contact numbers of all my friends and family. Please suggest what best can be done.
A.Dear Client,
You must inform the police and lodge a complaint in the general diary. The gender of the caller, his voice tone, date and time of the phone call, the conversation details and the estimated age of the caller can be noted by the victim as evidence to help the police in identifying the offender. If the harassment on phone calls continues for a long span of time then the victim must file an FIR.
Thank You
