A.Dear Client,
You have to submit an affidavit that mentions the current name, the new name, reason for changing, and current address which is signed by two gazette officers with a notary should be given to incorporate the new name.
The change of name should be published in the local newspapers. A copy of the advertisement with all the required documents should be sent to the Department of Publication to complete the legal procedure of name change.
Once the name is legally changed the owner of the land should visit the land registry office and submit all the proofs related to the new name change with a nominal fee to get his or her name updated in the land records. The submitted documents are verified by the respective officers and an inquiry will be done to check if the name change is genuine.
Once the verification of documents is done. The name will be updated on the government records, and a copy of this will be sent to the applicant’s address. The entire process to get the name updated in land records will take around 15 to 20 days.

Thank You
