I bought the property on Power of attorney from a lady 20 years ago in 2001. Now I want to register the property but I could not find that lady, don't even know if she is dead or alive. So, in this case, can I register my propery through any other way possible? I am from Maharashtra (Kalyan)

A.Dear Client,
property sale through power of attorney (PoA) has been held illegal and only registered sale deeds provide any legal holding to property transactions by the Supreme Court in the year 2011.

Thank You

A.Dear Client
Transfer of property through Powerof attorney is not valid and poa does not give you the ownership as title cant be transferred through poa.
You need to get the sale deed or conveyance deed executed and registered
