A.Dear Madam,

It depends upon various factors and it is called as interpretation of provisions of law, implementations of law, implementations of amended law, the date of implementation whether it is prospective or retrospective.

A.Hello,
Any person whether male or female below the age of 18 years is a child and if any offence is committed against them it will be covered in the POCSO ACT.

A.Dear Client,

Under section 2(d) of the POCSO Act, the word 'Child' is defined which states that anyone who is below the age of 18 years. Thus, it is applicable to a 17-year-old child as well.
