My friend has a Sec 420 fir on his name in Karnataka and his police verification will be happening in Tripura, the name on the fir is spelled wrong, will there be any issue for Police Verification for Govt Job
A.Dear Sir,
If it is not known to Police in Tripura then there will no problem otherwise your friend may not PCC (Police Clarification Certificate). Better approach the High Court and get 420 case quashed.

A.Dear Client
See if the spelling of surname is wrong that does not mean that the police will not be able to trace out the real person. There will be other details in addition to the name and that way the police can figure out your friend.

A.Dear Client,
If your surname does not match, yes it would be a problem. The government jobs are now being advertised online and what you enter in the application form would be final. It will be difficult to change or when you are faced with document verification.
You can fill a name correction form along with an affidavit and copy of your id with the correct name.
