Land mutation issue for my land.

I own a land in Varanasi which I bought in the year 1987. I have the land documents but I don't have land mutation done for the land. I live in Chennai. I am 63 years old. If I transfer land ownership to my son aged 30 years will it be easier to get land mutation done.
I want to know what are options I have for getting land mutation done for my land and also the procedures and documents required.

Land mutation process and ease will remain the same whether you do it for you or for your son after the transfer. Since mutation is quasi legal and more administrative work hence you can hire a local person or even a lawyer who can do this. Give all the required papers and it will be done.

A.Registered Power of Attorney in favour of your son or any other Varanasi resident with specific clauses in this regard can help you to represent before the concerned property mutation office at Varanasi.
