Dear All, over the last few days I have been getting messages from the neighbors about their scooter covers being torn by 2 of the resident puppies I feed. This morning, one of them came at 7.30 and yelled at me to pay the damage fee and also told me that he doesn't want to talk to a bloody lady like me in front of the neighbors. He, along with other members, also told me to go clean the faeces of the dogs or oay for it to be cleaned. I was really scared and paid the amount as I am a 70 year old woman and not strong enough to fight.
He also told me that he wants the dogs to be thrown out by today evening.
I am concerned about my puppies well being as one of them is also deaf.
What do you do in such situations where the entire society is ganging up against you and threatens u that ur dogs have to be put out from the society and even talks to you in the rudest way?

A.Dear Client,

Article 51A of the Constitutional Law of India speaks about the duties of every citizen of India. One of these duties includes having compassion for living creatures. So the animal lover is protected under the Constitution.
Anyone who threatens or intimidates any person taking care of dogs is liable for criminal intimidation under Section 503 of Indian Penal Code and can be arrested without a warrant.

A.Dear Madam,
You may approach any related NGO and ask them to protect your civil rights as your rearing up dogs. It is your right and nobody can question it as dogs are known as pets.

A.Dear Client
These are the tricky situations where the law and society together have to work hand in hand to bring an amicable solution otherwise somebody either humans or the dogs are going to suffer. Better talk to the neighbours and try to resolve it
