Holiday issues - Our private college is not giving off

Our private college is not giving off on state declared holidays! Those days ( birthdays of Rabindra Nath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda) are shown as holidays on college calendar, but still we are getting forced to attend college. College is taking exams on that day! Can we ask for double wage for these declared holidays?

If the central or state government is declaring holiday on a particular and the college is working then the college will have to intimate the government and seek permission. Try to find out whether they are doing that or not and then you can lodge a complaint.
