Friend not paying back loaned amount despite several promises, now avoiding me
1 year ago
When I was overseas, a friend who is known to me for 30 years+ called me on WhatsApp and asked for an emergency temporary loan of Rs. 1,00,000. In good faith, I transferred the amount to his bank account by NEFT. On return I spoke to him (call is recorded) and he said he asked for few weeks time to return. Now, he refuses to acknowledge any messages or receive my calls, I know his address, but do not want to disturb his family. What are legal options available for me?
A.Dear Client,
you can issue a legal notice to him for the payment of the money back since he is not answering your calls and messages.
