Want to remove daughter from family assets
1 year ago
My daughter is getting married against our wishes. And we dont want to share any of the assets (present and future ) with the daughter. I have a wife and a son other then this daughter. What legal steps can be taken so that today as well in future my daughter has no rights in the property.
what documents can be signed by her and kept as a custody with us, so in future she does not create problems with my son or wife
A.Dear Sir,
During your lifetime she cannot get any share in your self acquired properties. You may write a Will that after your death all properties shall go your wife and other child excluding your daughter.

A.Dear Client,
you can not take away all her rights in the property just simply because she is getting married against your wish. well you can ask her to issue a relinquish deed on any of you, your wife or your son' s name for her share.

A.To give opinion, it is necessary to know whether your property is ancestral or self acquired. In case of ancestral property , you cannot deprive your daughter but in case of self acquired property either through Testamentary manner or through registered Deed of Transfer, you can do so.
