Sale Agreement vs Sale Deed Sale Agreement vs Sale Deed

I had bought a property from the original allottee of a Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) property. While I have the original sale deed (between BDA and original allottee), I only have a copy of the sale agreement, that preceded the sale deed and which is referred to in the sale deed. As i am now trying to dispose the property, the buyer is asking for the sale agreement. Wanted to know whether the ORIGINAL of sale agreement is required and if yes, how do i obtain it?

A.Dear Sir,
Normally, such original is not necessary but for their safeguard and the bankers may insist for such document your prospective buyer might have asked you to furnish such document. If it was registered one then get a copy of sale agreement from the office of Sub-Registrar.

A.If that Sale Agreement was registered, then you can apply for Certified copy of the same before the concerned Registering Authority, however, if that Sale Agreement was unregistered, then you will get that Original Sale Agreement from the Original Allottee from whom you had bought that property. In case of property purchase by taking bank finance, the concerned Bank usually ask for the Original of all the relevant documents so the prospective buyer has probably applied for bank loan for purchasing that property.
