Stray dogs in buildings Stray dogs in buildings

I have a pet dog with which the society has no issues. But recently they have started noticing stray dogs entering the society and sitting in front of our flat. Once or twice we may have also given them some chicken or treats. But even we did not encourage the stray dogs from entering. They come through the front gates and watchmen also do mot stop them. Now we are being told multiple times that the stray dogs are entering because of us and we should either hit them or throw water and drive them away
We are trying to resolve the matter by speaking also. And we have explained that anytime we give them something to eat it has tick medication so that our dogs do not catch any ticks or fleas from them. But its been 2 weeks and people are continuously coming and telling us about it as if we are bringing the dogs in. We are opposed to hitting them so just wanted to know our rights and what should we tell the society people (Pune, Maharashtra)
