Fine for not wearing mask.

Can police fine me if i didn't wear mask (because i came back from market after eating) but then immediately wear mask when i saw the police checking? And covid is very low nowadays so most people dont even wear mask since i saw many passing behind me but police not saying anything, and can court isse letter on this matter if i dont pay fine?
A.Dear client, in this situation you are supposed to wear mask and obviously the police can charge you with fine.
