Is advance paid for purchase of goods refundable? Is advance paid for purchase of goods refundable?

Hello,
I have ordered a sofa from a furniture store in my city. The sofa will be manufactured in their own godown. The total estimate given is 60k and as a advance they asked to pay 30k which has been paid. We didn't finalize the fabric which has to be used so the make process is not yet started. We found out that with the same specifications we are getting the same sofa from different store for 45k so we asked to cancel the order with in 2 days after paying the advance. Owner says 18 percent gst will be deducted from the advance and the rest amount will be paid. Also the bill given for advance has the point 'any advance paid will not be refunded'
Can someone let me know if i can get back the full advance amount without deduction of gst.

A.Dear Client, can you briefly explain the policies or terms & conditions mentioned in the slip or so? Generally when once payment is done, then there would be basic deduction of GST, in case you want to cancel the order. Thanks

A.Once invoice/bill is printed it is the duty of the vendor to deduct the GST and the same needs to be remitted hence you cannot expect the refund to the extent of GST

A.The furniture store would need to issue a receipt voucher at the time of receipt of the advance and a refund voucher at the time of cancellation of the order under GST. You will have to pay the GST of 18% as it is normally charged when the rate of tax cannot be determined during receipt of advance.

A.Dear Sir,
The offer made by shopkeeper/furniture dealer is reasonable. You cannot get more than that as refund.
