Is Notice Period Mandatory
We have entered into a 6 month rental agreement with our client with a option of autorenewal of contract unless subject to agreement of landlord and tenant.
There is also a mandatory notice period of one month to be served by tenant incase of leaving premises.
Tenant has informed us 15 days prior of leaving office and he is not obliging to notice period of 30 days as he consider notice period is not mandatory as he is not renewing agreement. They say agreement expires by efflux of time.
Plz let me know way forward
Regards

A.Dear client, in my humble opinion, the notice period is must and it should be submitted to the other party.
