Hello my father had taken a loan of 50k from one of the employees of a showroom working opposite to his shop...due to COVID his business was low and was not able to pay the rent hence he took the loan ...after few days my father closed that shop....this was not known to us ....one fine day money lender comes to our house and threatens to do this and that ...like he will take our car and will not let my father live peacefully...my father's mistake was in 12-15 months he had returned only 10k but never said he won't return the rest of the money ....he is a retired man he gets very less amount of pension and has other loans also....is it okay for that money lender to come to our house and harras or should I lodge a complaint

A.In my humble suggestion, you should lodge an FIR against the person for threatening and harassing your father before the local police station.

A.If your father have taken a loan then he must repay back the said loan and if his earning is low then you must also help him as per your capability. But if he comes and threaten you all then it's wrong.. he cannot harrass your family or threaten them... He even cannot take the possession of your car without your consent... If he does so then immediately lodge an FIR against him before the local police station... For the time being you can just lodge a general diary against him for his threatening and harrasment.

A.Dear Sir,

If Car is taken away then lodge a complaint of that. It seems he has not taken any documents from a father to recover such loan. Nothing to worry.
