Possibilities of jail? Possibilities of jail?

My father n mother have been fighting for divorce since past 15 years. My mom doesn't want to give divorce to my father as she doesn't want him to live happily. The reason is that my dad got married to a woman without getting divorce after 2 years of separation from my mother. He got separated from my mother stating on grounds of my mother's adultery. My mom after many years was living with a man and my father threatened that man so he left my mom. My mom is alone now and that's the reason she doesn't want to give my dad divorce. My dad wants me to come to court n be as an eye witness stating my mom has committed adultery. But I don't want to. My dad told me that the man because of whom my dad got separated claiming that my mom has committed adultery with, (say XXX person) , XXX has filed case against my father that my dad is making a false claim. That man is already married to another lady and has children. My dad is telling that if I don't come to court now, he ll be jailed in either of the cases failing to prove that my mother n that man had committed adultery. Is it possible for him to be sentenced jail for such a case?

A.dear client it all depends on what are the charges framed against your father. From the facts that you mentioned it appears that the matter is literally complicated and there is a bit of chances that things can go against your father. You may consult with full facts and circumstances along with available evidences in your matter.
