My Dog bite neighbors Child My Dog bite neighbors Child

My Dog bite a child in neighbor, because the child(New in Society) came to greet my dog and stood straight in front of my dog. The dog is a large breed dog and at the time of Incident the dog was completely under my control and properly leashed.
What consequences can I face in this case as a dog owner. Here the mistake is of child and i was standing just outside my building gate.

A.Instead of letting it exaggerate, I would suggest you to settle it and compromise it with the parents of the child and let go of this matter as soon as possible.

A.Dear Sir,

It is your mistake as minor child cannot be attributed with any mistake. You may get compromise the matter before any serious action being taken by parents of that child.

A.Dear Client
When the dog has bitten the child then you were not withing the precinct of your house then you cannot claim that it was the mistake of the child. It is quite obvious that it was your dog's mistake. Of the parents of the child file a case against you then you will have to pay compensation the them and also if they lodge a police complaint then a criminal case will be initiated against your dog (or the owner)
