A.A petition (For Succession Certificate ) needs to be filed with the district court or high court within whose jurisdiction the asset is located. The name and relationship of the petitioner, the names of all heirs of the deceased, details about the time, date and place of death should be mentioned in the application. A copy of the death certificate has to be produced.

A.Dear concerned,
Legal heir certificate can be obtained by filing a civil suit for succession certificate before the concerned civil court in which all the legal heirs will be made party along-with the State / SDM as formal party. If the SDM produces the report in your favour, the concerned court will issue the same certificate. For more information, kindly contact a good legal practitioner from the Vidhikarya platform having expertise of these matters.
