Drunk and Drive - I was caught by traffic police Drunk and Drive - I was caught by traffic police

Last month I was caught by traffic police in Tamilnadu for drunk and driving my car. Alcohol level was 36.8mg. The Traffice Sub inspector gave me a notice and asked to pay the fine. As per rule, fine for drunk driving is Rs. 10000. I visited the Traffic police station the next day and the SI asked me to pay Rs.16500. I paid the money he asked and recovered my car. He did not issue me any challan or receipt. Details were not available in Vaahan MORTH website also. I then made a complaint to the Chief Minister's cell and that has been passed down to the concerned Traffic police station. After 1 month today, the Inspector of the station called my mobile and asked me to meet him in person today evening. Please advise me what I should do and what should I be prepared for while meeting him

A.Dear client,
It is good that you escalated the issue to higher authorities about not getting the receipt for your fee paid. You don't have to be scared about it. They might have called you to give you the concerned documents and in case if he tries to threaten you or something, make sure you have the evidence to prove it and you can get him suspended for the same.
