Conflict of Interest Conflict of Interest

Recently, I have joined a remote company and was asked to sign a contract which included a field marked as Conflict of Interest policy. Currently I am having my own business running from past 10 years. The field of my business is different from current remote company's field. So, this I guess, wouldn't conflict with remote company's interest. But, I am working for a social cause which conflict remote company's interest. They suggested me not to work in this social cause as it would conflict with company's interest. In my social cause, I intended to provide my services free but in future it might generate a revenue. The work I am doing for social cause is not complete yet It is in progress. Can't I complete it as I have joined the company and signed their agreement?
Should I stop working for social cause because of conflict of interest?

A.Dear Client
The clauses of the company are very clear and even urged you to choose one which is very fair on their part.
It depends on you to choose that you want to work for a social cause that will reap revenue in future or you want to work for the company.
Choose what satisfies you.
Hope it helps

A.if the main purpose of both the company you have joined and your business are same and identical though its a social cause then you should not proceed with your business on same ground of interest since you have signed their agreement. It may cause trouble to you only in near future hampering your career as well as business therefore you should think for some other alternative cause or project for your business.
