A. ) Lodging a complaint under domestic violence and 498A IPC is very common these days and does not amount to internal departmental enquiry. Such complaints under domestic violence empowers the woman to live with dignity and gives protection from any sort of violence. Both parties will be call for counselling and a report will be set to the Magistrate. If during the counselling he assures in written not to carry out his violent behaviour then withdraw your complaint.
