Breaking marriage

Hello, my 'Roka has done on the month of May this year but not 'engagement '. Engagement has been planned on december month. But I have realized that this marriage will not be sustained as our mental compatibility doesn't match and called off this marriage in august month. We have not demanded any dowry and we are against that as well. Now girls father threatened us to file the claim. There is no written evidence and 'roka' (shagun) ceremony is a traditional pre marriage ceremony which was held in the presence of family members only. We have not even engaged yet. We have also booked the hall for this engagement ceremony. What about that money? Now girls family are cursing me that I have spoiled the girl's life. I admit that I have done mistake but if a marry now both of our life get ruined and that will be the biggest mistake of my life. Now what I can do to protect myself and my family against these claims? Please reply asap. Thank you

A.Dear Client,
File the Complaint before the Police if the Girls side lodges their complaint first.
Otherwise do not go from your side in the beginning.
