A.Hi client,

The age limit for girls to get married is increased from 18 to 21 years, but the law has not yet been implemented ,it is proposed and accepted. For now, 18 years of your girlfriend's age is legally valid of getting married.

Thanks and Regards

A.Dear Sir,
Yes, it seems till the enhanced age of 21 for girl is not implemented so if your girl friend crossed and completed 18 years of age then you can marry legally.

Most recently, the legal age of marriage in India is increased from 18 to 21 years for females, supported by the Child Marriage Restraint Act and the Special Marriage Act, 1954 and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006

A.If you are a Hindu by religion, then before social marriage if you do registry marriage then it will be done following the provisions of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 otherwise if you do registry marriage before your social marriage or on the day of your social marriage, then it will be done following the provisions of Special Marriage Act, 1954. According to both the laws, an Indian boy and a girl must attain the age of 21 and 18 years respectively for applying for the said marriage as in India, a boy or a girl is considered to be an adult when the boy attains the age of 21 years and the girl attains the age of 18 years respectively.
