Booked a bus ticket directly from the website
1 year ago
I booked a bus ticket directly from the website of the travels for journey from Goa to Hyderabad. The ticket cost Rs.2111/- . A few hours before the journey , they called to say that the trip is cancelled, and I will get a refund. Instead they generated a coupon for refund. More then a month has passed but no refund. It looks like the amount is too small to file case in consumer court. Is there any legal way to get a refund ?
A.Hi client,
You can mail them, or send them a legal notice. The ticket fare plus compensation for such delay can be charged.
Thanks and Regards

A.Dear Sir,
It is a meager amount. You can go to the Consumer Court but you must ready to spend amount and time of about 12-18 months to get result.

A.You may send a legal notice to the concerned bus company for refund of your paid money or else you have to file a case before the consumer forum for getting the refund. If you file a case before the consumer court then you must claim compensation and litigation cost against the said bus company.

You may file a case in Consumer Court and see that some lesson is taught to them. You can file without any court fees and by yourself.
