Rental yearly maintenance and security deposit Rental yearly maintenance and security deposit

Hi All,
I am staying in a rental 1BHK from past 6 months. As per rental agreement of 11 months, there is a clause that says while vacating I have to pay 1 month rent towards maintenance charges and if vacating within 11 months, the landlord is at liberty to deduct 1 month rent. I argued with my landlord that since i am giving a 2 months notice (as per agreement )before vacating, second clause will not be applicable. But he is not agreeing. is there any way i can legally proceed on this?

A.Hello Client,
Hope you are having a good time.
To answer your question, if there is no clause given in the agreement, then he cannot charge you for the same. In case he insists, you can get an advocate for the same.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards

A.Hi client,
If no such payments and additional charges are mentioned in the rental agreement you are not liable to pay the same.
Contact an advocate from your area area to help you out with the clauses and counter your landlord.

Thanks and Regards
