cheque stop payment against investment to be done

a customer has invested a certain amount in fixed deposit through cheque in a credit society by signing the forms, etc. His membership number is generated and share certificate too. The customer has done stop payment now and hence the cheque bounce charges has occured of Rs. 145 which the customer is denying to pay. kindly guide what can be done

Send a legal notice to the client mentioning the same.
If this do not work then a case under the N. I Act has to be filed.
