I had passport in which my mother's name was Arti. Subsequently my mother expired and my father remarried and my new mom's name is Anju. On all my educational certificates and legal documents the name is Anju only. I applied for renewal of passport and asked for mother's name as Anju but passport office didn't change the name and they printed it as Arti only. It's also having ECR stamp. So to convert this when I approached passport office they said on all the educational documents the name is Anju whereas on passport it is Arti so it can't be changed. How to resolve this issue?

Dear Client
Firstly, you need to go through the adoption process get your self adopted by the step mom and after that mother name can change.

The name of biological mother will have to reflected on the passport and educational certificates unless your step mother adopts you legally.
