Withdrawal of Increment Letter after Resgnation Withdrawal of Increment Letter after Resgnation

I worked in MNC for 5 years 6 months. I received increment appraisal letter based on my performance in previous year in this January 2023. However, when i gave resignation a week later after receiving the appraisal letter, my employer withdraws the appraisal letter and gave revise letter of same salary in last year. This will hamper my current salary and also my gratuity amount.
Is it legal to do that in India. How can i challenge my employer ?

A.Dear Client
Usually most of the companies provide increment letter so that the current employees will remain with them and if an employee resign immediately after getting the increment letter then they do withdraw that. They might have such rule that if you resign within a given number of days then it will be withdrawn. If the rules subsists then you can challenge this in any court.
