We have a 15 kottah plot with house. Our father died in 2000 after making a registered will. However due to some neglegency his death certificate was not obtained at that time. Now we want to sell the property. Kindly advice what needs to be done.

A.dear client kindly Obtain the death certificate and Legal heir Certificate from the competent Authority of your State Government.

A.Dear sir u should need death certificate of Ur father. Without death certificate u cannot attach Ur name on khatta . Otherwise u need to approach to court for succession certificate.

Step 1. Obtain the death certificate.
Step 2. Obtain the Legal heir Certificate from the competent Authority of your State Government
Step 3.See the Will and Act according to the Will.
