Cheated by husband

I got married to a guy at March, 2018 through newspaper ad, after ten days suddenly he went to Canada for his job purpose and told me and my parents that he will bring me after two to three months. But after going he stopped contacting me, started avoiding me, his father started torturing me regarding dowry, molested me each and every day. I filled 498a against husband and in laws. During this period can I file for divorce and claim damarige?

A.youhave not given full facts. However you can file a suit after 1year normally.. contact a local lawyer from Vidhikarya

A.since yours is a recent marriage you need to wait for a year unless you can satisfy the court of exceptional hardship for filing a divorce case. If you file divorce case now then your advocate needs to take leave from court for admittance for filing the divorce case and satisfy the court of exceptional hardship.

No sir, I tried a lot to continue my married life with him, but he has cheated on me, got married to me in India and spent ten days with me then ran away. I want him to be punished and his father too because he tried to abuse me for multiple times during his son's absence. I want them to be punished and want separation.

A.Dear Madam,
You can not file a divorce within one year of marriage. However there are so many enactments under you can teach them a lesson get lump sum alimony. First start filing case after case against him and his parents.
