Hi,
My Father in Law was having shares in Cochin International Airport in 2 different portfolios with different addresses. He gave his Short name in his applications and made my Mother in Law as nominee. He was residing in Tuticorin and expired in 2006,we took the death certificate in his original name (long name) there .We are living in Bangalore ,now we are unnable to transfer the shares to my mother in law name because of difference in name.My FIL was having LIC pension plan also which we cant get that too.
Now CIAL people are asking us to present legal Heir Certificate to prove the relationship,so that they can transfer the share to my mother in law.
Please guide what is the necessary steps we have to take here

A.Dear Sir,
It is better to convince them to accept the notarized Legal Heir Certificate or you have to file an application of Succession Certificate under Section 372 of Indian Succession Act.

For full procedure contact me on mobile through Vidhikarya.

A.Dear Client,
First get the death certificate.
Second the legal heir certificate which will have the names of all the legal heirs.
Then you do the rest as advised by the Officials.
