My brother intends to execute a Power of Attorney in my name for his flat to enable me to sign and register Leave & Licence Agreements. At one particular outlet near MLA Hostel, Mumbai, they require personal presence alongwith aadhar card of the buyer, to buy stamp paper. My brother is travelling, so not in a position to buy. Can I buy the stamp paper in my name?

A.Dear Sir,
Yes, you can purchase the same on behalf of your brother and get it executed. The question of such purchasing arise only if dispute arise in future but it is of no consequence.

A.Dear Client
Non Judicial Stamp Paper has to be purchased in the name of the parties who is liable to pay stamp duty, registration fees etc. for the registration of document(POA).
Normally NJSP is bought in the name of executor of POA for assigning the power to the attorney to act on the behalf of executor. If the executor is out of station you may buy the NJSP in your name as a party to POA.
