Division of Ancestral house
I need an advice on division of ancestral property matter:
I have step uncle & Aunts. We have a ancestral house at my native place. We have received a notice from the my step aunts regarding the division of ancestral house. There intention is to sell the house and divide the money. My father & my step uncle do not want to sell the house & have intention to maintain the house.
Question: Can it be made a compulsion to sell & divide the money?
A.Dear Client,
In case of Ancestral property, the property is shared equally by all the legal heirs who cannot transfer their share without the consent of other legal heirs who got the right to said property by birth. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
