Court Registered Caveat copy as evidence
My previous lawyer had registered the caveat against my opponent in the court. He has sent this copy to the opponent through post. Can i get a copy the same from the court and produce as the evidence that I have intimated my opponent so that the opponent should not claim that he does not know about this.

A.Caveat is for your protection in case if your opponent files a case against you and tries to take decree against you without your knowledge. When you file a caveat against someone it means that if the other party files a case against you, the court will summon you. No decree will be passed unless you are informed about the case. You will be given a chance to be heard. Coming back to your query, there is nothing to prove as evidence into it. You have filed the caveat so it will be the court who will summon you when the case is filed against you. It is itself an evidence. Where you requested the court to give you a chance of being heard if the other party has filed a case against you and is trying to pass a decree against you without your knowledge.
