Ordered a sex toy online, possible show cause notice? Ordered a sex toy online, possible show cause notice?

Hello all,

I ordered a sex toy couple of weeks back from aliexpress and later on came to find out that it is illegal to import, I immediately proceeded to cancel it but it was already shipped by the seller. The seller however said that I can choose to ship it back if I do not want the product.

The product is now held with customs and am expecting a show cause notice. Please let me know how to proceed with this as I was not aware about this being illegal (primarily because it is readily available online in India based websites and assumed that it can be imported for cheaper).

I wish to avoid paying the fine as am already forfeiting the payment I made.

A.Dear Sir,
First, Refuse to accept or do not accept at all.
Second , send it back if that is possible so that the company will be not at loss.
Third, if you get notice from CUSTOMS and Excise tell them the truth that it is your ignorance of law.
It will be sorted out easily.
