Student's alloted exam time denied because of beard. Student's alloted exam time denied because of beard.

This is about an 18 year old government higher secondary school student who was denied the alloted exam time because of his beard. The teacher had asked him to trim and come and if there is any time left he could complete the exam.being a government school the school did not have any strict rules, things about beard and all varied from teacher to teacher. This student had kept beard for the whole year and it had become a problem now during the exams. Do the teacher have the right to deny student's exam time? Can the teacher ask him to clean beard like that? Do the student have the right to keep his beard? His beard is well maintained and not shabby and long.

A.Dear Well Wisher,
you need to see the dress code of the school as well as respect the sentiment of the local people.
Nothing beyond this principle.

A.Every school has their own bye laws, rules and regulations which need to be followed. Having that said, you can be disallowed to sit in an examination for not following the bye laws of the school. However, not letting a student sit in the exam because of his beard is a bit harsh on the student. You can try requesting or complain for the same to the authorities asking for your right to sit in an examination. Also that your beard wasn't shabby and was decent in keep.

Thanks
