Maternity Break

Dear sir,
I am working in a private firm where there are less than 10 employees working for the past 4 years. Am I entitled to get paid maternity break? What if the boss opposes? How can I defend myself?

A.Mam you are legally entitled to get your leave. The state of Maharashtra has now increased the period from 180 days to 360 days.
If in case your boss is denying you maternity leave you can complain against the same and get in touch with women's welfare authorities of your state.
