Of i do what you said will he I mean step brother will not leave that easily he will try to do again something to take revenge can't we do something to teach him a lesson so that next time he don't even dare to do any of his bad intentions

If i do a case will police arrest them or the case will go to the court
and how we will get our room back?

If you register FIR under wrongful restraint police may arrest them. If they are arrested then they will opt for compromise or settlement. But if they are powerful and police do not take any action you must give complaint directly to Magistrate.

Thank you so much for all your precious time.But my mom doesn't want any case on father she just want to take her room back and want something that step brother would never do the mistake again like that.

My mom name is registered.Its her room.But she has no power on the room as I told before that the step brother taken the room and when we locked the room he also given 2 lock on the door grill.He told that if he will not use it then he will not allow anyone to use it.

Can you please inform me is this a FIR ?
As I don't know too much of case and Law.What case is this and what will happen if I do this?

make a police complaint (FIR)
and also file a case of eviction against him under the maintenance and welfare of parents and senior citizens act,
in the above act, your mother will file an application before the concerned Tribunal (SDM Court)
