Asking money for course which I did not opted for

I am looking for some free consultation, my employer is asking for money for the course which they forced me to apply. And now they are asking me to pay 62000rs. I come from middle class family, it's a big amount for me and my family, what should I do?

Dear Client,
In the absence of any contracts or your consent in that regard, the company cannot force you to pay for the mandatory training or course. So, in this situation, you can file a complaint against the company before the State Labour Commissioner for the unfair labor practice. Further, if your concerns are not addressed, you can file a suit against the employer before the Labour Court and seek appropriate remedy. But, if you are not covered under the definition of workmen in Section 2(s) of the I D Act, then you can file a civil suit. If required, you can consult an advocate for advice and compliance.
