Hello Sir.
My name is (Shivam Soni) and I am from New Delhi. I am 17 years old. My father's name is (Naresh Verma) and I want to change my name from ( Shivam Soni) to ( Siddharth Verma) through gazette. I passed my 10th class in 2017 and 12th class in 2019. I want to know that can I change my name in my cbse 10th and 12th marksheet and if yes then the CBSE can issue new certificate with my new name and how much time the process take? and can I change my name in my birth certificate and then the govt. Can issue my new birth certificate?

Procedure to correct name in SSLC marks card?
There is a procedure you have to follow for correction of name in the SSLC mark sheet and you have to file an application for it to the board which will be forwarded by the School Headmaster. You can get your name changed by following a simple procedure which is given below.
• Just explain your problem to your school Headmaster that you have this problem in your mark sheet.
• You will be given an application form for correction of name in your certificate.
• You have to forward various documents related to your admission in the school
with this application like admission form which was filled during admission into the school, school leaving certificate and other relevant documents related to your admission which mentions your correct name.
• This application will be forwarded to the board by your school headmaster and if your documents are valid then there will be no problem in correction of your name in the marks sheet.

A.You can get it changed by way of an affidavit at the marriage registrars office and then get it published in the official gazette.
You will be required to publish such change in two of the local news paper. One English and one regional.

A.you can change the name through 1. filing a civil suit in this behalf, it will take around 1-2 years, or, 2. apply through an affidavit in this regard, get published in 2 newspapers, hindi and english, and got published in Gazette
